What is a therapy session like and how long does a session last?

Therapy is a collaborative process where we work together, as a team, to achieve your goals.

Every therapy session is unique, just as each individual is unique.  Each session caters to an individual and to individualized treatment goals. It is standard to discuss primary issues and concerns that you are experiencing in your life during therapy sessions.

Sessions last approximately 50 minutes; however, longer sessions may be offered, if needed.

Depending upon the individual, sessions may be conducted weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, as length of treatment is individualized. Therapy can be short-term, focusing on a specific issue, or longer-term, addressing more complex issues or ongoing personal growth.

Treatment is tailored for each individual, therefore length of session and length of treatment varies from person to person, but treatment length and best outcomes include the client being an active participant, both during sessions and between therapy sessions.

How do I get started in Therapy?

For new clients, your first step is to decide whether you will utilize your Insurance for your treatment, or if you will utilize a private pay, or Out-of-Network option. *If you choose to utilize Insurance for your sessions, you must have your insurance verified before beginning treatment. Please see below for brief insurance information.
