Greetings!  I am Dr. S. Ronéa Stewart Winrow and I welcome you as a client.

Before I ask to get to know about you, allow me to share a bit about myself.

I graduated with both a Bachelor’s and Master's Degree in Psychology from Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA.  Immediately following graduation, I furthered my graduate career, having earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, with specialty emphasis in Individual, Family, and Child Psychology (Psy.D. – Clinical Psychology), from the APA accredited Clinical Psychology program of the California School of Professional Psychology in Los Angeles, CA.

Prior to starting my private practice, I provided treatment to both adults and children within a variety of clinical settings, including

non-profit community mental health centers, dual-diagnosis residential facilities, local public school and non-public school districts, sexual assault crisis centers, and agencies focused on treating children and their families/caregivers.

I am enthusiastic about Empowering individuals and helping people get to a place where they no longer consider themselves simply drifting through life, and instead experience themselves actually Thriving.  This is accomplished by providing collaborative, supportive therapy using the latest evidence-based treatments in mental health.

As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, I do not have a “magic healing wand”, but I do have tools to assist you in gaining clarity and in achieving treatment goals.  My practice is based on the recognition of the mind-body connection, and a holistic clinical treatment approach that integrates aspects of Cognitive-Behavioral, Person-Centered, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I approach clients with empathy, respect, compassion, and professionalism, and clients are assisted with practical guidance in understanding the steps necessary to achieve their goals.

I create an accepting, supportive, non-judgmental environment that encourages my clients to gain an awareness of themselves. In treatment, I meet people exactly where they are and believe that people contain within themselves the capacity for growth, change and joy.  With support, guidance, and within a psychologically safe environment, people have a remarkable capacity to heal, to achieve personal growth, and to experience self-improvement.

I look forward to assisting you in discovering ways in which to strengthen your approach to life’s challenges and will work collaboratively with you to accomplish your goals in therapy.  Let's get to work!

Best regards,
~Dr. S. Ronéa Stewart Winrow~
